Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Eve Thomson Driving School. By registering and booking lessons with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These explain our policies relating to lesson bookings, payments, cancellations, driving test eligibility and conduct. Please read them carefully.

1. Lesson Booking

1.1 Booking Eligibility

• Pupils must be registered and listed as Active before lessons can be booked.
• Lessons must be booked in advance through the instructor’s third-party booking app.
• Lessons booked outside the availability provided to you may be cancelled.
• If you need to request additional lesson times, please contact the Driving School Support Hub at info@enroutedriving.co.uk .

1.2 Lesson Allocation

• Lesson availability is provided based on instructor availability and pupil demand.
• If available lesson times are not booked within the recommended timeframe, they may be released and offered to another pupil.

2. Lesson Credits

• Lesson credits are valid for 8 weeks from the date they are issued.
• Unused credits will expire after this period unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Lesson credits are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

3. Cancellation and Rescheduling

3.1 Cancellation Notice

• A minimum of 48 hours’ notice must be provided if you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
• Lessons cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice will normally be charged in full.

3.2 Frequent Cancellations

• Frequent cancellations, missed lessons or repeated rescheduling may result in the loss of your regular lesson availability.
• Repeated cancellations may also result in your pupil account being suspended or closed.

3.3 Instructor Cancellations

Occasionally, a lesson may need to be cancelled at short notice due to circumstances outside the instructor’s control, including:

• Vehicle breakdown or mechanical problems.
• Hazardous weather or unsafe road conditions.
• Severe traffic disruption.
• Illness or other unexpected circumstances affecting the instructor.

Where this happens, your lesson will be rearranged for the earliest suitable availability and you will not be charged for the cancelled lesson.

4. Driving Test Requirements

4.1 Test Readiness

Eve Thomson Driving School follows DVSA standards when deciding whether a pupil is ready to use the instructor’s vehicle for a practical driving test.

To use the instructor’s vehicle for your driving test, you must:

• Provide at least 4 weeks’ notice of your driving test date wherever possible.
• Complete any required assessment or mock driving test.
• Demonstrate that you can drive safely and independently.
• Show that your driving is at the standard required for the practical driving test.

4.2 Instructor Discretion

The instructor reserves the right to refuse the use of the tuition vehicle for a driving test where:

• The pupil is not considered test-ready.
• The instructor believes there would be a safety risk.
• The required assessment or mock driving test standard has not been achieved.
• The pupil has not had sufficient recent driving experience with the instructor.

This decision is made to protect the pupil, instructor and other road users and to ensure the tuition vehicle is only used when the required driving standard has been demonstrated.

5. Refund Policy

5.1 Refund Requests

• Refunds may be requested for unused lesson credit that remains eligible for refund.
• Refund requests must be submitted to the Driving School Support Hub at info@enroutedriving.co.uk .
• Lessons already taken or chargeable under the cancellation policy cannot be refunded.

5.2 Late Cancellations

Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice are non-refundable and will normally be charged in full.

6. Conduct and Safety

6.1 Pupil Behaviour

• Pupils must treat the instructor with respect and follow reasonable safety instructions at all times.
• Aggressive, abusive, threatening or inappropriate behaviour may result in the lesson being ended immediately.
• Where a lesson is ended because of unacceptable behaviour, no refund will normally be provided.

6.2 Personal Belongings and Liability

• Eve Thomson Driving School cannot accept responsibility for personal belongings lost, damaged or left in the tuition vehicle.
• Every reasonable step will be taken to provide lessons in a safe and professional manner.

7. Data Protection

• Personal information is collected and used for managing enquiries, pupil accounts, lesson bookings, payments and communication.
• Personal information will be stored securely and will not be shared unnecessarily with third parties.
• Information may be shared where required to provide the service, meet legal obligations or where the pupil has given permission.

8. Amendments

• Eve Thomson Driving School may update these terms and conditions when necessary.
• Any updated terms will be published on the website and will apply from the date they are published.
